MarketsTrading Forex Broker Review

  1. Markets Trading

We do not recommend trading with this broker, try IQoption instead

Markets Trading is a non-regulated CFD broker offering trading services to new and professional traders across the globe. Markets Trading provides an easy to use, web-based trading platform for dynamic trading in Forex, cryptocurrencies, commodities, indices and stocks from all devices.

Markets Trading is owned and operated by Markets Trading Ltd, registered at 85 Great Portland, London W1W 7LT, UK. The operational address of the company is at Newtonlaan 115, Zen Building, 3584 Utrecht, Netherlands.

    Markets Trading Account Types

Customers can choose from four types of live trading account, with each account type offering different trading privileges and financial opportunities. Importantly, every account type gets access to all the Markets Trading platforms and the opportunity for social trading. To find out about trading with signals, clients must contact their account manager, as signals are part of the VIP area at Markets Trading.

However, we were disappointed to see that access to the educational material in the Market Trading academy is partially restricted for Micro and Standard account holders. Moreover, we noticed that Markets Trading does not provide a demo account for risk-free practice. Nonetheless, all trading accounts have access to 24/5 customer support and an Islamic Halal account option, described in detail below.

    Markets Trading Islamic Trading Account

Customers can request that any of the four trading accounts described below be adapted to an Islamic Halal option. The Islamic account is swap free and interest free, conforming fully with Sharia law. Importantly, traders with Islamic accounts are not charged hidden fees and enjoy all the advantages of trading with Market Trading.

    Market Trading Promotions and Bonuses

New customers at Market Trading are offered a welcome bonus matching their initial deposit 100%. Moreover, existing clients receive regular promotional offers boosting their investment capital and potential profits. Clients can contact their account managers to find out more about bonuses and how to claim them.

Importantly, bonuses come with stringent terms and conditions, typically requiring customers to execute a very large trading volume before withdrawing funds from the trading account. For this reason, it’s important to read the bonus terms carefully before accepting any offers.

    Markets Trading Platforms

Customers get instant access to the 100% web-based trading platform without any software download. Whilst Markets Trading does not specify the name of the trading platform, it appears to be the TraderSoft platform for Forex and CFD trading. Notably, the platform is designed for ease of use with an intuitive interface, ideal for both novice traders and experienced pros.

We were pleased to see that the Markets Trading Academy includes a ‘how it works’ video clearly explaining the functionality of the trading platform. Traders also get access to video tutorials from beginners, intermediate and advanced traders, based on their trading account type.

The powerful platform offers straightforward ‘buy’ or ‘sell’ CFD trading in around 200 financial instruments across Forex, cryptocurrencies, commodities, indices and stocks. Minimum trade sizes vary according to the asset type from $5 to $25. A green/red popularity indicator on the right of the chart, enables traders to see the asset’s current popularity at a glance.

Importantly, the platform clearly marks all the information that traders need to execute orders and offers a broad range of trading tools. Moreover, the Markets Trading Academy provides in depth info about trader’s tools and how to set Stop-loss and Take-profit orders to manage risk.

Multiple charts with historical asset prices, provide a basis for technical analysis and potentially profitable market predictions going forward. Clients are offered the one-click trading option for faster trade execution. However, it’s worth noting that inexperienced traders are more likely to execute trades by mistake, as they are not given the opportunity to double check their options.

Traders who want to take part in social trading can follow and copy top traders on the Markets Trading platform. Social trading is rapidly growing in popularity as it allows the most inexperienced clients to engage in financial trading without having to learn about technical analysis and other fundamentals of CFD trading.

Markets Trading offers a free mobile trading app for smooth, secure trading on the move. Traders can connect to global financial markets and manage their trading accounts, by downloading the app for iOS and Android powered devices from the App Store or Google Play.

    Markets Trading Customer Support

Customers have access to professional, dedicated customer support 24/5 over the live chat service on the interface and two telephone numbers in the UK. Email enquiries can be sent to the support team or to the compliance department depending on the topic. The FAQs page at Markets Trading is fairly comprehensive, with information about trading CFDs, as well as registering and funding a trading account.

    Markets Trading Payment Methods

Customers at Market Trading can fund their accounts in three base currencies: GBP, EUR or USD. Secure funding methods include credit/debit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Visa Electron, Maestro and JCB. Also, multiple e-wallet services including Neteller, Skrill and CashU or bank wire transfer (deposits from banks may take up to 5 days to show in the trading account).

Withdrawal requests are usually processed within 5-10 days of the request being made in the client’s trading account. However, delivery of funds to customers may take as long as 14 working days depending on the payment methods and clearance processes used by the chosen financial institutions.

The minimum withdrawal amount by credit card is $100 and $500 by bank wire transfer. Notably, the first withdrawal in every calendar month is free of charge. Subsequent withdrawals within a month may be charged a fee, at the discretion of Markets Trading.

Whilst Market Trading is a non-regulated broker, it complies strictly with international anti-money laundering regulations. All customers must provide account verification documents before withdrawal requests can be processed. Clients must scan and send colour copies of an official ID document such as a passport and a recent utility bill or bank statement, proving residence.

Moreover, traders using credit cards must copy the front and back of the card, whilst concealing the CVV code and all but the last 4 digits of the card number. Importantly, traders must sign a document confirming and approving all the transactions made to date with Market Trading and send it with the other verification documents.
